Walking the Via Francigena in Tuscany

Via Francigena on foot or by bike

The Via Francigena in Tuscany crosses 38 municipalities and can be travelled as you prefer: on foot, by bicycle, by car or on horseback.
This historic road passes through San Gimignano and, if you are a lover of walking, you can take a section of it, the one that passes through the Val d'Elsa. Stage 31 includes a 13 km route from Gambassi Terme to San Gimignano, always surrounded by wonderful views. You can undertake the excursion on foot or by bicycle.
